Scott teacher wins KYASRO Educator of the Year

Rebecca Heineke

Scott High School teacher Rebecca Heineke has been named the Kentucky Association of School Resource Officers (KYASRO) 2022 Educator of the Year.

This award was given to her for her work in the classroom building relationships and mentoring those students who have faced trauma at home and struggle in school. She has done much to help me build a bridge between those students who might not view the police as a supportive resource and in keeping the campus safe.

She will be officially presented with her award at the Safe Schools Conference in Richmond in June.
