Input sought on Title I Parent Engagement

Title I, Part A – Improving Basic Programs Operated By Local Educational Agencies—of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015, is a program that is implemented in identified elementary schools in the Kenton County School District.

Title I, Part A provides supplemental funding to state and local educational agencies to acquire supplemental education resources at schools serving high concentrations of students from low-income homes. These resources are used to improve the quality of education programs and ensure students from low-income families have opportunities to meet challenging state assessments.  KCSD receives these funds and serves identified schools based on need, in rank order.  In addition to the district, each participating school has a Parent Engagement Policy supporting the involvement of parents in the engagement of their child’s education.

Below is a link to the District Parent Engagement Policy.  We would like to hear your input and suggestions around this document.  For questions, please contact Ellen Zimmer,  Director of Early Childhood Education and Federal Programs.
