Spelling Bee

The Kenton County School District held its annual District Spelling Bee on Dec. 11. The Spelling Bee winner and runner-up from each elementary and middle school move on to compete at the district level.

Lillith Reynolds from Turkey Foot Middle School was this year's winner after she correctly spelled the word 'victimology.'

Rosie Smith from Hinsdale Elementary was the overall runner-up and the elementary winner.

Alexis Gerding from White's Tower was the elementary runner up, and Malia Reinhart from Twenhofel Middle School was the middle school runner-up.

Payton Pauley from Twenhofel Middle School was this year's cover design winner.

Reynolds will move on to compete in the Kentucky State Spelling Bee during the Derby Festival in Louisville on March 14.
