I have been married to my husband Todd for 25 years. We have two children, one cat (Abby) and a dog (Charlie). Mykaela is 17 years old and beginning her senior year at Scott High School. Alex is 11 years old and started his first year at Woodland Middle School. I enjoy working in my flower garden, scrapbooking, photography, traveling and learning new things. I also enjoy watching Mykaela figure skate and Alex play soccer, baseball and basketball. They both keep me very busy. I have recently become a big fan of major league soccer in the states and especially in Europe (Go Liverpool!).
My mission as an educator is to help all of my students become successful as learners. My goal is to help them develop a love for learning and learn necessary skills and strategies to be successful now and in their future as well. My focus for professional growth has been on learning about brain development and learning styles. I utilize this knowledge to help my students learn at high levels in a way that is appropriate for them.
