My love for Fort Wright Elementary runs deep. I was a parent here for many years before I started teaching at the Fort. I could not think of a
better place for my own children to have had their first experience with
Teaching preschool brings me great joy. Each year I endeavor to create a calm and peaceful classroom environment where children can gain knowledge about the world around them with fun & engaging hands on learning activities. I encourage all of my little learners to be independent, kind, creative and curious.
This is my 10th year teaching Preschool and my 3rd year at Ft.
Wright Elementary. I received my Bachelor's Degree from UK and earned my teaching certificate in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. I then went to UC and earned a Master of Arts in Education, with a focus on language development. I am now studying at NKU to learn more about Autism and Behavior. I believe that teachers are life long learners.
I live in Ft. Wright with my husband Michael and our four amazing
children who are in 5th, 8th, 10th and 12th grades. We love finding new places to explore in our community and state. I also love to read, cook, crochet and go hiking and geocaching with my family.
