Elections for a parent representative to the River Ridge Elementary School Based Decision Making (SBDM) Council will take place on May 17th and May 18th. There are currently two (2) positions to be included on the ballot, each for a 2-year term (July 2017 through June 2019).
To be eligible to run for the election, you must be the parent or legal guardian of a child enrolled at River Ridge Elementary School for the 2017-2018 school year. Our school operates with four (4) Parent Representatives on the SBDM Council at all times. The River Ridge Elementary School Council has the responsibility to set school policy and make decisions outlined in statute, which is to provide an environment to enhance student achievement.
In order to have your name on the ballot, an election application must be submitted to Mr. Bradford, Principal, no later than Friday, May 12th. The election will be facilitated on May 17th and May 18th by our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), with assistance from the school’s Family Resource Center.
