Pre-Order New Diary of the Wimpy Kid Book

During our Scholastic Book Fair, February 25-March 1, you can pre-order the New Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book entitled, Diary of An Awesome Friendly Kid:  Rowley Jefferson's Journal.  Just complete the order form and send in $8.99 payable to Piner Elementary to order your copy.  More information will be coming home in your child's Thursday folder.

Book Fair is Coming

The Dino-Mite Scholastic Book Fair is Coming February 25-March 1, 2019.  Come join us on Book Fair Family Night during Family Arts Night on Thursday, February 28 from 5:30 to 6:30.  Below is a link to the online bookfair if you are interested in purchasing online.


We are also excited to announce eWallet.  An eWallet is a new digital payment option that gives students a secure, cash-free way to show the fair.  Look for information concerning this in your child's Thursday folder.

2018-19 Trainings

   Tuesday September 11th at 5:30 p.m.

Wednesday October 10th at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday October 11th at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday November 15th at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday February 28th at 5:30 p.m.

Tuesday March 12th at 8:15 a.m.


In order to volunteer during the 2018-19 school year, individuals MUST attend one scheduled orientation. Training dates for the 2018-19school year are listed above.  No additional trainings will be scheduled.


All volunteers must have an approved background check on file with the Kenton County School District. Background check applications are available in the office.  Current Kenton County School District employees do not need to attend volunteer orientation but will need to contact Jody Bohman at 957-0046.
