Guidance Office Transfer of Student Records

Attention Parents and Guardians!

If your 5th, 6th or 7th grade student will be attending a school other than Turkey Foot next year because of a move or acceptance in another district, please contact our Guidance Office at (859) 957-0377.  You can also email carley.elder2@kenton.kyschools.us.  This is to ensure that your students' records get to the correct school in time for their first day in August!  If your 8th grader will be attending a high school other than Dixie, please make us aware of this as well.   - Thank you!

KCSD Board approves School Resource Officers in all schools

Principal's Points: Test Taking Tips

As we move through the school year students are assessed in a variety of ways.  Below you will find a list of Test Taking Tips that will work for all tests.

  • Do your best to be at school on testing day.  Try to schedule doctors and other appointments for after school
  • You should get plenty of rest the night before the test.
  • On the day of the test you should eat a good and nutritious breakfast.
  • Always listen closely to all directions prior to starting the test.
  • If you aren’t sure of the directions ASK the teacher for an explanation.  Sometimes they are not allowed to answer a question you have but is always good to ask!
  • Read all the questions and all answers completely- sometimes you can get tripped up because of a word or phrase.
  • Answer all questions—do not leave blanks
  • If you are not sure of an answer ELIMINATE the answers you KNOW are wrong
  • If the test requires you to read a passage and then answer questions- read the ANSWERS before the passage.  It will help you to know what the test is looking for.
Message from the Principal

Message from the Principal:

As we continue to work to improve the security of our building after activating the buzzer system at the front door, visitors will be asked to state their purpose before being admitted to TFMS.  While this may cause a brief delay in entering, we believe this is another way to keep our students and staff safe.  Thank you for your continued support.
