Covington (KY) - City officials and residents are excited to celebrate the arrival of one of Greater Cincinnati's largest international cultural events ever hosted by the region. Expected from July 4-14 are 15,000 participants from 64 countries and 22 U.S. states, including 362 choirs, 61 judges, choral and INTERKULTUR officials. There will be 68 sessions of competitions, more than 60 Friendship concerts, 41 workshops, nine Official Events, eight Celebration concerts, 14 pin trading classes and two signings of the Games; Official Poster by renowned illustrator C.F. Payne.
Some of these exciting events will be held at venues in Northern Kentucky and other events will have singers from Northern Kentucky participating. Below are the highlights of the World Choir Games' scheduling of events, with a view to highlight all things KY:
