CONGRATULATIONS TO THE ARCHERY TEAM FOR QUALIFYING FOR THE STATE ARCHERY TOURNAMENT IN 2009 AND 2011.
KCSA Archery - Always on the Mark
We participate in the Kentucky Archery in the Schools Program (KASP) which is part of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP). The archery team uses compound Genesis competition bows. Students have the opportunity to compete at the regional, state, and national levels as both an individual and part of the KCSA team.
All cadets wishing to join must pass a safety and content test before being allowed to shoot. SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT. All team members must pass the safety test and abide by safety rules to remain on the team.
There is no fee for joining the team; all equipment is provided by KCSA. Archery members receive a free team t-shirt with a unique design each year. Cadets who participate in tournaments are asked to pay the "shooting fee" which can range from $5 to $15, depending on the tournament. Funds are available to cover this cost for cadets, if needed. Some tournaments charge admission for the public (including parents) that range from $2 to $5.
Practices are on Wednesdays until 1600 hours (4:00 p.m.)
