Ms. Shelley was born and raised in Cincinnati.
She recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northern Kentucky University with a BS in Mathematics.
While at Northern Kentucky University (NKU) , Ms. Shelley was chosen as a NOYCE scholarship program recipient. The NOYCE program was developed to increase the number of teachers with a strong STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) background in high-needs districts. Through this program Ms. Shelley was provided the opportunity to attend a variety of professional development sessions including two state conferences, and two national conferences.
Ms. Shelley loved working as both a mathematics tutor and a Resident Assistant on campus. These experiences increased her desire to be in the education profession. She actively participated in the Math and Stats club and was a member of the Pi Mu Epsilon Math Honors Fraternity. Ms. Shelley had practicum teaching experiences at Holmes, Dixie and Scott. She student taught at Withrow University High School in the Cincinnati Public School District. She was awarded the NKU Outstanding Senior in the Secondary Education Program.
Ms. Shelley is very excited to start the new school year at Scott!!
