It’s time for parents to start thinking about health requirements for back to school! Meeting health requirements for school attendance is an important part of making sure your child is ready for school.  These requirements provide the assurance that your child is not only up-to-date on necessary immunizations, but also that he/she is healthy to attend school.  Keep your child “on track” by making sure that he/she meets the health requirements every school year.

Parents Mark Your Calendar - October 21st 4p.m. - 7p.m.
PARENTS – MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!!

October 21, 2010 is our Parent/Teacher Conference Night from 4 – 7 p.m.  This evening you will pick up your child’s report card, newsletter and other communications.  You will have time for a very short visit with some (or all) of your child’s teachers, both core and elective.  This is not a time for an extensive, individual conference.  It is a quick, “drive-by” to check on the state of things, academically and behaviorally.

As part of that night, Mrs. Jones will also have a Conference With the Principal for those interested parents who want to just come and have an “open forum” of questions/answers.  Feel free to bring any questions/concerns that you have and would like to discuss.  Because of confidentiality, individual students cannot be discussed but general questions….just why do you do it this way????  That question/answer session will last from 6-6:30.

Bookfair - will be held in the library for everyone from 4-7p.m.  This is a great time to purchase holiday presents, birthday presents or just to encourage your child to read.  Reading is a lifelong skill that helps children as they develop skills  in all subjects.  Please come and support our school library as we earn profits to purchase more library materials for our students.

Ms. Hansel, Health teacher, will also be available in the LIBRARY throughout the evening to discuss your child’s Individual Learning Plan (Career Cruising).  ALL students will continue their  ILP during grades 6-12.  Parents will learn how to log onto their child’s ILP during one of these sessions, which begins every ½ hour.

That night at 7:00, following conferences, please join us at the Simon Kenton auditorium for our Fall Chorus Concert!

We look forward to seeing all of our parents at the Parent/Teacher Conferences on Oct. 21st from 4 – 7!!

Introducing "MyBusBuddie" parent portal

Parents and guardians are always interested in the status of the bus that transports their children.  While everything possible is done to assure that the buses operate on schedule, situations arise that can cause delays in their arrival times at a student’s stop.

The Kenton County School District desires to keep parents and guardians informed of the current status and location of their bus, and to make it as easy as possible to provide this communication without interfering with parents’ normal schedule.
